Chet Roberts is a Nashville native born and raised just outside Music City in Hendersonville Tennessee. Heavily influenced by his father's record collection and playing guitar by age 12, Chet gravitated to music and all aspects of it. After graduating high school, he attended Middle Tennessee State University where he started a band with friends to hone his musical talents. While writing songs and playing shows, Chet became interested in the recording process and was accepted in MTSU's well known RIM program where he focused on Production & Technology.

In the spring of 2001 his band, Good People, was signed to a developmental deal. School was put on hold for two years as the Good People recorded and toured opening for national acts. Returning to MTSU in 2003, Chet graduated in spring of 2004 earning a Bachelor's of Science Degree in the Recording Industry. Chet then began work  at Hipp Studios, now Rivergate Studios, engineering on hundreds of albums, working with some of Nashville's top session players and sharpening his ear for production recording skills. Chet also created Chet Sounds in 2004, a home based demo studio that caters to songwriters of all types, and since then has helped numerous songwriters across the nation "get their feet wet" in the Nashville Music scene.

Now writing/co-writing on a regular basis, Chet continues to play music with the group The United Front, a diverse, multi-faceted funk/rock band with former members of Good People, which also includes former Elvis Presley guitarist Pete Cummings. The United Front has independently released two albums, which were mixed and mastered by Chet, and has headlined just about every rock venue in Nashville. Recently, Chet has been recruited by new studio owners, Chris Henderson and Bobby Capps, as a chief engineer here at Rivergate Studios. Needless to say, Chet is very excited about being a part of the Rivergate Studios team and is looking forward to its success!
